Cannot connect to FTP – CentOS Godaddy using Simple Control Panel

Problem:

You got setup with CentOS  through GoDaddy, and are trying to FTP into the server. You have ensured that “Enable Server” is checked beneath
System Configuration > FTP within your “Simple Control Panel”.  You have verified you can SSH to the servers IP Address (elminates DNS Issues) but still cannot connect via FTP.

Solution:

Godaddy’s lack of documentation is at fault. Your FTP Client needs to be configured to use SFTP over port 22.
